Description: The Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks brings Tuesdays at the Gazebo Concert Series to Welles Park, this weeks performer is: Turath Ensemble (a classical Middle Eastern music group)!
Turath means "heritage" in Arabic. The ensemble presents classical and folk music from the Middle East and North Africa on traditional instruments such as the oud (Middle Eastern lute), nay (bamboo flute) and riq (Egyptian tambourine). The group consists of musicians steeped in their tradition, yet with a dynamic flair for modern performance and improvisation.
We suggest bringing a blanket, a chair or whatever you'd like to make yourself comfortable during the concert.
